In a game that featured 57 fouls & 71 free throws, visiting Louisville prevailed over Minerva 66-60 Friday. With the victory, the Leopards improved to 10-6 overall and 7-3 in conference play.

Three Louisville players reached double figures and combined for 49 of their 66 points. Blake Beatty's Sports Leopard HoodieHoover led the Leopards with 20 points. Bryce Mathie scored 12 of his 15 points in the fourth quarter and Jake Pukys also dropped in 14.

After a tight first quarter, Louisville outscored Minerva 27-18 over the next two quarters to build a 40-29 advantage after three quarters.

The Lions were led by Jansten Locke who scored a game-high 32 points and hit 4 of Minerva’s 8 three-pointers. Early on in the fourth quarter, Locke hit one of those three-pointers from the top of the arch to propel him over the 1,000 point mark for his career. Locke finished with 23 in the final quarter that saw the Lions outscore the Leopards 31-26. Nick Clapper also added 12 for Minerva.

With the victory, Louisville has now taken 9 out of the last 10 meetings with Minerva. The Leopards now lead the all-time series 83-68.

The Leopards dominated the first half before propelling to a 51-22 victory over the Lions. Louisville led 15-4 after one and 31-8 at halftime. With the victory, the JV squad is now 10-6 overall and 9-1 in NBC play.

Jarrett Heater led the Leopards with 12 points, while both Brock Haren and Jake Mathie each added 9. Logan Coe led the Lions with 6 points.
