Leopards Down Warriors 86-60 – Boys Basketball

The Louisville Leopards Boys Basketball team downed the visiting West Branch Warriors 86-60 Friday Night at Louisville High School. With the victory, Louisville improves their record to 2-3 overall and 2-0 in NBC play.
Chris Libertore scored a game-high 26 points and pulled down a team-high 7 rebounds to lead the Leopards. Jared Mathie also finished with 11 points and a game-high 5 assists for Louisville.
The two squads lit up the scoreboard for a combined 43 points in the opening period. The Leopards held a 23-20 advantage after the first quarter and went up by double digits at 42-28 by halftime. Louisville outscored West Branch 24-16 in the third and 20-16 in the fourth to solidify their victory.

The Leopards shot 57% (37 of 64) from the field while holding the Warriors to 39% (22 of 56) from the floor. Brandon Wahl and Bryce Zuppe also scored 9 points for Louisville. A key difference that helped the Leopards was the bench as it outscored the West Branch non-starters 32-2.
The Warriors were led by TJ DeShields who finished with a team-high 19 points and a game-high 14 rebounds. Reese Leone also scored 16 points and tallied game-highs of 5 assists & 3 steals. Michael Boosz also scored double digits with 14.
