Leopards Comeback, Force Crosstown Tie With Aquinas

Louisville scored a pair of goals in a span of 2:06 that erased a 2-0 deficit and forced a tie with the crosstown St. Thomas Aquinas Knights Saturday at Louisville Leopards Stadium. With the tie, the Leps are now 1-2-2 on the season.

After a scoreless first half, the Knights found the net twice within a 4:20 span to take a 2-0 advantage with Beatty's Sports Under Armour Summer 2013 Ad28:22 left in the second half. However, the Leopards answered back less than three minutes later when Harrison Raub stretched around a defender and booted the ball into the net. Micah Neuenschwander’s free kick setup the goal.

Neuenschwander was not finished though. A St. Thomas defender deflected Corey Wilson’s throw-in back towards the center of the field. Neuenschwander charged forwarded and blasted the ball off the bottom of the crossbar and into the goal from 36 yards away. 2-2.

Louisville’s defense kept them in the game and secured the tie at the end. Goalie Austin Terra made incredible save after incredible save. Austin Hallas also provided great defense and headed out a shot on goal late in the contest. Neuenschwander also made is presence felt on defense.

The Leopards are now 0-3-1 against the Knights all-time.
