Lacrosse Downs Bulldogs in Inaugural Tournament Game
Louisville 10, Olmsted Falls 4
The Louisville Leopards Varsity Lacrosse Team downed the visiting Olmsted Falls Bulldogs 10-4 in the second round of the OHSLA Club Division Tournament Saturday Evening at Louisville Leopards Stadium. With their first ever playoff victory, Louisville improves to 9-3 on the season and advances to the State Quarterfinals. They will host the Ottawa Hills Green Bears at Johnstown Johnnies Winner on Wednesday, May 27 at 7:00 PM at Louisville Leopards Stadium.
Jake Mathie scored a game-high 4 goals and Austin Terra also recorded a Hat Trick to lead the Leopards. Jared Holland also had 2 goals & added 3 assists and Zach Frank also tallied a score for Louisville.
The two squads went back-and-forth in the first half with the Leopards edging the Bulldogs 4-3 at the break. Louisville ripped the game open by scoring the next 6 goals and holding Olmsted Falls scoreless for the first 19:04 of the second half to take the contest. The Bulldogs finish their season with a final record of 8-8.
Prior to the contest the Leopards celebrated Senior Night. They honored their 14 Seniors that included the following: Joe Davide, Zach Frank, Luke Gilbert, Louis Keller, Dylan Koczwara, John Lairson, Jake Mathie, Joey Meister, Jarrod Moran, Nick Nappi, Austin Shaheen, Austin Terra, Tanner Thomas, and Marshall Vick. Leopard Nation would like to personally thank these Seniors for all their hard work, dedication, and leadership in making Louisville’s Inaugural Lacrosse Season truly special!
