Balderson Records Hat Trick for Leopards
Blake Balderson recorded a hat trick to lead Louisville in scoring. He scored the game’s opening goal just minutes into the contest. Kent Roosevelt would tie the game at 2-2 later in the first quarter, but Balderson would answer back to give the Leopards a 3-2 lead once more. His hat trick goal would also prove to be the deciding goal that put Louisville in front 6-4 with 3:01 to play in the third quarter.
LaScola Registers Game High 3 Assists
Adler LaScola provided assists on all 3 of Balderson’s scores and scored a pair of goals himself to help lead the offense. He upped the Leopard lead to 5-3 via an assist from Mason Warner with 7:30 to go before halftime. LaScola also registered Louisville’s final goal unassisted with 2:31 left in the third quarter.
Seth Colley scored, via an assist from Hayden Beckett, to put the Leopards ahead 2-0 early on. Colley later recorded an assist for Brandon Pittman’s goal that doubled the Louisville advantage to 4-2 with 20 seconds remaining in the opening quarter.
Schafer Earns Win in Goal for Louisville
Leopard goalkeeper Austin Schaefer turned away shot after shot from the Kent Roosevelt onslaught all night long. After the Rough Riders trimmed the Louisville lead to 5-4, Schaefer allowed just one goal over the final 21 minutes to preserve the second LHS victory of the year.
