JV Football Rolls Past West Branch 34-0
Louisville 34, West Branch 0
The Louisville Leopards JV Football Team Shutout the visiting West Branch Warriors 34-0 Saturday Morning at Louisville Leopards Stadium. With the win, Louisville improves to 4-2-1 overall and is now 4-0-1 against NBC opposition this season.
Runningback Sean McKinney ran for two touchdowns and Quarterback Trent Degenhard also threw for two scores to lead the Leopards. McKinney found the endzone on runs of 1 and 30. Degenhard hit Gavin Birone for a 16 yard touchdown pass and also Ethan Bellew for a 29 yard aerial score.
BJ Singer also added a 6 yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter to start the running clock. Other scoring highlights included both Gavin VanZant and Dylan Walczak running in two-point conversion tries.
On Defense, Louisville intercepted three passes and also blocked a punt. Those recording picks included Gavin Birone, Michael Seaman, and Jack Davis. Casey Curlutu and Steve Venable charged through the opposing blockers to forc the blocked punt in the opening quarter.
The Warriors would get as close a the Louisville 20, but three Leopards stops for negative gain ended the threat. Amazingly the Leopards scored 34 points in all three levels of football against the Warriors this past week:
- Freshman: Louisville 34, West Branch 0
- JV: Louisville 34, West Branch 0
- Varsity: Louisville 34, West Branch 20
UP NEXT: The Leopards will next travel to Carrollton to take on the Warriors on Saturday, October 17 beginning at 10:00 AM.
