JV Football Rolls Past Alliance to Finish Season 7-1
Louisville 38, Alliance 6
The Louisville Leopards JV Football team rolled to a 38-6 victory over the host Alliance Aviators at AHS Saturday morning. With the victory, Louisville finishes the 2014 season with a record of 7-1 overall and 5-0 against NBC foes.
The Leopards defense recorded 5 takeaways and 5 sacks during their rout of the Aviators. Jimmy Leonard proved to be a menace all morning as he tallied 2 sacks and partially blocked a punt. Ray Brooks, Noah Bellew, and Connor McKinney also had sacks for Louisville. The Leopards takeaways included Jager Kendrick picking off 2 passes, Conner Bast also making an interception, Cole Weston forcing and recovering a fumble, and Noah Bellew scoring on a tip and grab pick six.
Bellew also scored on a 3 yard run for Louisville’s first touchdown. Quarterback Brody Hahn then completed a pass to Tyler Croxton for the two-point conversion to give the Leopard an 8-0 lead.
Hahn would lead Louisville to three more touchdowns before the first half ended. He scored himself on a 12 yard run and then completed touchdown passes to Cody Allgood and Croxton to put the Leopards ahead 26-0 at the break.
Justin Vanover’s third quarter touchdown run gave Louisville a 32-0 lead and the clock ran via the mercy rule the rest of the way.
