JV Football Outscores South 46-30

Louisville 46, Canton South 30

There was no shortage of scoring at Louisville Leopards Stadium Saturday morning when the Louisville JV Football squad beat Canton South 46-30.

Quarterback Joey Duckworth ran in a score and also threw two touchdown passes to Alex Hollifield and Kyle Bast leading the Leopards to a 21-0 advantage.  The Leopards broke the game wide open when Garrett Yoder scored on a pick six just before Louisville took a 27-0 lead into the break.

South scored two touchdowns early on in the second half on a long passing play and an interception return for a touchdown.  However, Garrett Robbins took the helm at quarterback and threw a 40-yard touchdown pass to to Trevor Hostetler to give the Leopards a 33-12 advantage almost halfway through the third quarter.

On the first play of the fourth quarter Robbins scored from a yard out to put Louisville up 40-12.  The touchdown run was set up by a 24-yard run by Zach Shea.

Each team exchanged touchdowns again with Louisville’s being a 41-yard scamper by Eric Hampe to make it 46-18.  South would score two more touchdowns, but the Leopards leaped away with a 46-30 victory.
