JV Boys Basketball Downs Canton McKinley 55-42

Louisville 55, Canton McKinley 42

The Louisville Leopards Boys JV Basketball Team downed the visiting Canton McKinley Bulldogs 55-42 at Louisville High School Wednesday Afternoon. With the win, Louisville improves to 5-3 on the year.

Bryce Zuppe scored a team-high 13 points to lead the Leopards. Other Louisville top scorers included Jared Mathie with 11, Brandon Wahl with 10, and Derek Zeller with 9.

The Leopards jumped out on the the Bulldogs 19-12 after eight minutes of play and held a 31-25 advantage at the half. Louisville extended their advantage to double digits after outscoring Canton McKinley 12-4 in the third quarter. LHS rolled to victory after that.

De’Shawn White scored a game-high 20 points and hit 3 three-pointers to lead the Bulldogs. Dorian Henderson and James Howell also added 6 points each.

UP NEXT: The Leopards will next host the Green Bulldogs on Saturday, January 2. JV will begin at 6:00 PM and Varsity will follow around 7:30 PM.
