Leopards Blank Howland, Flatten Fitch to Improve to 6-0 – Wrestling
The Louisville Leopards Wrestling Team remained undefeated in dual matches with two more blowout victories Thursday Evening at Louisville High School. The Leopards earned their second shutout of the season by blanking the Howland Tigers 78-0. Louisville then defeated the Austintown Fitch Falcons 55-7 to improve to 6-0 on the year.
Louisville 78, Howland 0
The Leopards won by fall in each of their first four matchups in taking a commanding 24-0 lead. Jax Leonard (170), Noah Peterson (182), Brent Paulus (195), and Blake Robbins (220) all earned pins to start the meet for Louisville. Cameron Brazek also edged out Howland’s Georgio Frazeskos 3-2 in the heavyweight bout to preserve the shutout.
Dylan Rhoads (106) and Dominic Hoffarth (113) both earned victories by fall as the lineup shifted over to the lightweight matchups. The Leopards won 8 of their 14 matches by pin. Others winning by fall included Garett Lautzenheiser (132) and Logan Vanicek (145). Daniel Adams (126) also won by a 7-5 decision.
In addition 10 victories on the mat, LHS was also the beneficiary of four forfeits. Winners by forfeit included Lacey Harvey (120), Davin Rhoads (138), Daniel Kennedy (152), and Brenden Severs (160).

The Leopards won 12 of their 14 matchups en rout to downing the Falcons 55-7. Dominic Hoffarth (113), Garett Lautzenheiser (126), Jax Leonard (170), and Brent Paulus (195) all won by pin to lead Louisville.
The Leopards won three other matches by technical fall including: Daniel Adams (126) 18-3, Davin Rhoads (138) 23-8, and Brenden Severs (160) 18-3. Blake Robbins (220) also earned a 9-1 major decision.
The remaining six matches were won by decision. Dylan Rhoads (106), Carter Mickley (145), Daniel Kennedy (152), and Cameron Brazek (285) all earned decisions for Louisville. David Shannon (132) and Jacob Smail (182) recorded the only decisions for the Falcons.
