GlenOak Spoils Lady Leopards Opener 71-47
GlenOak 71, Louisville 47
The GlenOak Golden Eagles downed the host Louisville Lady Leopards 71-47 in the season opener Saturday. GlenOak took a 16-2 advantage to start the contest and remained in command before earning their first win over Louisville since 2009.
Rachel Zeller led the Lady Leopards with 16 points and 2 three-pointers. Hollyann Mullett also added 12 
points and Abby Beaver scored 5.
The Golden Eagles were led by Shelby Henkel who poured in 16, Angela Dave who scored 13, and Maddalyn Repp & Jetaiya Smith who each added 8.
The loss snaps Louisville’s three game winning streak in the series and GlenOak now leads the all-time series 25-23 with an even 12-12 record at Louisville. The 71 points is the most the Lady Leopards have surrendered at home since they fell to the Lady Eagles 75-63 on November 28, 2009.

The Lady Leopards JV squad fell to visiting GlenOak 53-34 in Saturday’s season opener. Louisville was led by Danielle Walter who dropped in 15 points and Alexa Oberster also broke double figures with 10. Kennedy Brown also grabbed 6 of Louisville’s 17 rebounds.
The Golden Eagles outscored the Leopards in every quarter. They were led by Mikayla Vance with 11 points, SaBrianna Lever with 10 points, and Jetaiya Smith with 10 points.
