Louisville Earns Pair of Victories Over GlenOak to Finish 15-5 – Girls Tennis
Louisville 4-4, GlenOak 1-1
The Louisville Leopards Girls Tennis Team earned a pair of victories over the visiting GlenOak Golden Eagles on Monday to conclude the regular season with a final record of 15-5. Louisville first finished their match that was delayed by weather on September 19. The Lady Leopards won that match 4-1 and then duplicated that same result in an 8-point one set only match against the Golden Eagles following that.
Louisville went 5-1 in singles matches against GlenOak. In #1 Singles Rachel Kibler won 6-3, 6-1 and dominated the single set scenario 8-2. Jo Menegay also won in straight sets 6-1, 6-2 before earning an 8-1 victory in her one set #2 doubles match. In #3 singles, Sherilynn Mullett dominated 6-2, 6-0 but fell 8-4 in her second match after the Golden Eagles swapped their #2 and #3 singles players.
Louisville also went 3-1 in doubles matches against GlenOak. The #1 doubles team of Amanda Plaskett and Jade Thomas earned a 6-0, 6-2 victory in their first match and won a more tightly contested second match 8-6 in one set. The #2 Leopards doubles team of Carlee Fouts and Bailey Menegay also edged the competition in their single set match 8-7 (9-7).
With the victories, the Leopards have now defeated the Golden Eagles in 10 straight meetings. Louisville leads the all-time series 19-11 overall.
