Girls Lacrosse Debuts with Scrimmage Win Over GlenOak

The Louisville Lady Leopards Girls Lacrosse team made their program debut Friday Night at Louisville Leopards Stadium. They defeated the visiting GlenOak Golden Eagles 9-7 in a scrimmage.
Emily Hollifield led the Leopards with 3 goals and 1 assist. Alexa Oberster finished with 2 goals & 2 assists and Katie Hollifield added 2 goals & an assist for Louisville as well. Alexis Pochubay and Emily Shea also each found the net for the Leopards.
Shea tallied the first goal in program history just a few minutes into the contest. GlenOak rallied back to take a 4-3 advantage, but Louisville answered with a string of five consecutive goals to go ahead 8-4.
The defense did its job in helping Louisville hold its lead the rest of the way. Celia Keefe recorded 5 saves in goal.
