#8 Girls Golf Wins NBC Meet & Outright Title

The Louisville Lady Leopards Golf team split the regular season series with the Minerva Lions setting up a winner-take-all scenario for the NBC Tournament back on September 19. With the pressure on, the Lady Leopards shined bright as they claimed first place by 14 strokes over the second place Lions.

Gina McVey & Sierra Townsend finished with the top scores for the meet as each shot 86. Finishing third for Louisville was Katie Warga with a score of 90 and Adrienne Metzger & Bailey Spring ended the day each with a score of 100.

Not only did Louisville blow by the competition, they set the league record for best team score at the NBC Meet. They shot a 392 in the both the 2011 & 2012 Northeastern Buckeye Conference Tournament Meets, but this year they improved tremendously and shot 362.
