Girls Golf Hands Carrollton 1st Loss to Claim Top Spot

The Louisville Lady Leopards Girls Golf team defeated the visiting Carrollton Warriors 186-199 Monday at Skyland Pines Golf Club. With the win, Louisville improves to 6-2 overall and is now alone in first with a 4-0 record in the NBC.
Sierra Townsend led the Lady Leopards with a match low 42. Also scoring for Louisville were Bailey Spring who shot a 46, Abby Beaver who tallied a 48, and Gabby Spehar who carded a 50.
The Warriors (5-1, 5-1) were led by Grace Bartlow who shot a team low 46. Rounding out the scoring for Carrolton were Elizabeth Domer 48, Anna Truman 51, Emily Kean 54.
With a victory, the Lady Leopards have now taken 4 out of the last 5 from the Warriors. Louisville is now 8-3 against Carrolton all time with a 5-1 mark at Skyland Pines.
