Girls Basketball Routs Aviators 62-27

The Louisville Leopards Girls Varsity Basketball team dismantled the host Alliance Aviators 62-27 at Harry Fails Gymnasium Saturday Afternoon. With the win, Louisville improves to 5-1 overall and 3-0 in NBC competition.
Twelve different Lady Leopards got on the scoreboard during the game led by Sarah Lairson’s team-high 12 points. Abby Beaver and Emily Hollifield also dropped in 8 each for Louisville.
The Leopards grabbed a 13-6 lead after the first eight minutes before outscoring the Aviators 39-10 over the next two periods. Louisville committed just 4 fouls for the game and forced Alliance to commit 30 turnovers.
The Aviators were led by Za’nell Dixon who scored a game-high 13 points. Daijana Johnson also scored 6 and Ande’ Green added 4 for AHS.
This is the third time that the Louisville has defeated Alliance this calendar year to extend their winning streak against the Aviators to 14 straight. The Leopards now lead the all-time series 37-8 with a 19-3 mark in games played at AHS.
UP NEXT: The Lady Leopards will next travel to Marlington to take on the Dukes on Wednesday, December 16. JV will begin at 6:00 PM and Varsity will follow around 7:30 PM.
