The Leopards took an 18-11 lead into the locker room, before Aquinas came out of halftime with a 7-0 run.  After battling to a 20-20 tie, Louisville then scored the next 11 points.  The Leopards held off the Knights the rest of the way, cruising to a 45-33 win.

Girls: Louisville 35, St. Thomas Aquinas 8

The Louisville Lady Leopards freshman girls basketball team destroyed the St. Thomas Aquinas Knights 35-8 on Thursday.  Hollyann Mullet had 9 points, while Rachel Zeller added 8 in the victory.  The Lady Leps are now 6-1 on the season.

The Knights and Leopards remained scoreless until St. Thomas’s Taylor Looby scored on a fast break layup nearly four minutes into the contest.  Louisville would answer by scoring the next 12 points, before settling for a 14-8 halftime lead.  The Lady Leps then took advantage of a tired Aquinas squad that only had five active players for the game.  The Lady Leps shutout the Knights in the second half 21-0 as they rolled to a 35-8 stomping.
