Freshman Boys Victorious in 1st Game at New Louisville Elementary

Matt Eddins hit 5 three-pointers and scored a game-high 20 points to help lead the Freshman Leopards to a 44-34 win Thursday evening. The game was the first Freshman basketball game ever played in the new Louisville Elementary School and first victory inside the new gym.
Kyle Ashcraft scored 8 of his 10 points in a first half that saw Louisville take a 30-14 advantage. Eddins hit all five of his three-pointers in the first 14 minutes, while canning 3 in the second period alone. The Leopards outscored the Warriors 17-3 in the second quarter overall.
West Branch was led by Daniel Laut who made 4 three-pointers and scored a team-high 14 points for the evening. Austin Smith also scored 9 points and Matt Heffinger had 8 for the team in green.
On Defense, the Leps Alex Hall blocked at least two shots and brought down several rebounds in the contest. Anthony Vernier also provided a three-point basket and 6 points for the Leopards who move to 2-0, 2-0 on the young season.
