Louisville Doubles Up Field to Win Third Straight – Boys Soccer
Louisville 4, Field 2
The Louisville Leopards Boys Soccer Team doubled up the visiting Field Falcons 4-2 Thursday Night at Louisville Leopards Stadium. The Leopards have now won three straight games and hold a record of 4-6 on the season.
Junior Riley Adams scored a pair of goals and recorded an assist all in leading Louisville to a 4-0 halftime lead. Adams scored an unassisted goal to get the Leopards on the board and then found the net off a long free kick to make it 2-0 less than 20 minutes in. Adams has now scored in 6 consecutive games with all 9 of his team-leading goals coming in that stretch.
Adams also recorded his third assist of the season to setup Junior Maddox Drake-McKimm’s third score of the year. That made it 3-0. Louisville’s final goal came via a corner kick by Mason Foley. His kick deflected off Sophomore Kael Mickley over to Senior Chris Walters who kicked home the goal. The score was Walter’s second of the year as Mickley tallied his third assist of the season.
Leopards Goalie Joe Reynolds finished with 9 saves for LHS. Falcons Goalie Dawson Moore also finished with 6 saves and Nevada Lowden also had a second half goal for FHS.
The win is Louisville’s first over Field since they shut them out 7-0 on August 27, 2005. The Falcons won the previous three meetings from 2013-2018 outscoring the Leopards 9-1 during that run. The all-time series is now even at 3-3 with LHS holding a 2-1 edge in matches played at Louisville.
UP NEXT: The Leopards will next travel to face the Northwest Indians on Saturday, September 21 at 7:00 PM.
