Louisville 45, Fairless 13

The Fairless Falcons scored the first touchdown of the game and the last touchdown of the game. However, it was all Louisville Leopards in-between as they scored 45 unanswered points and 6 touchdowns in the middle of the two Fairless scores to down the visiting Falcons 45-13 back on October 15, 1971.

Kuhn ran the ball 12 times to pound out 117 yards and 3 touchdowns. Baker ran the ball just 4 times to amass 104 yards with his breakout play coming on a 66 yard touchdown run. He also caught a 33 yard touchdown pass from Quarterback John Doerschuk, capping off a 25-point Leopard third quarter.

Doerschuk also found Doug Shook for a 27 yard touchdown strike & conversion pass and Barry Emerick on another conversion pass for Louisville. Gary Dickerhoof also scored on a conversion run and Rob Hackley recorded his second safety of the season on defense for the Leopards who remained a perfect 6-0.

The Falcons opening touchdown score came when Fullback Dan Traynor caught a 65 yard pass from Quarterback Jeff Niedenthal. Later on in the fourth quarter, Jim Tillapaw found the endzone from 3 yards out to round out the scoring.
