Boys Golf Sets Course Low in Victory Over Carrollton
Louisville 158, Carrollton 190
The Louisville Leopards Boys Golf Team continued their winning ways with a 158-190 victory over the visiting Carrollton Warriors Wednesday. The 158 score is a Skyland Pines team record since the Leopards made it their home course in 2010. With the win, Louisville is now 6-1 overall and 6-1 in the NBC.
Nick Fawver, Mac Hanson, and Cameron Prasco all shot a team-low 39 to lead the Leopards. Fawver recorded his first 2 birdies of the season, Hanson had 4 saves en rout to a season low, and Prasco hit 6 of 9 greens during his round of play. Matt Eddins topped off the scoring with a solid total of 41.
The Warriors were led by Christian Barto who shot a team-best 43. Rounding out the scoring for Carrollton were Nick Abel 48, Max Feller 48, and Cree Ward 51.
The Leopards previous team best at Skyland Pines also came against the Warriors in a 157-159 loss back on September 20, 2011. There was no heart-breaking loss this time around as the Leps won their sixth straight match of the year. Louisville has now downed Carrollton in 3 of their past 4 meetings.
The Leopards JV Squad also won 203-216. They were led by Sam Casto who shared a team-low score of 49 with Darren Hester who shot a career best.
