Boys Basketball Whips West Branch 70-41

The Louisville Leopards Boys Varsity Basketball team whipped the host West Branch Warriors 70-41 Friday Evening at WBHS. With the win, Louisville is now 2-1 overall and 2-0 in the NBC.
Chris Libertore scored a game-high 28 points to lead the Leopards. Libertore was a perfect 4 for 4 from inside the arch and was also 6 of 10 from beyond the arch. Drew Noble also recorded his third straight double double with 15 points, 10 rebounds, and 2 blocks for Louisville.
The Leopards held the Warriors to single digits in each of the first three quarters to build a 56-22 advantage heading into the fourth. Louisville recorded 17 assists on offense led by Jake Pukys who had 5. On defense, the Leopards had 9 steals led by by Noah Chaplik who finished with 3.
West Branch (3-2, 1-1) was led by Jeremy Gorby who scored a team-high 19 points. TJ DeShields also scored 11 points and had a team-high 7 rebounds.
The Leopards have now defeated the Warriors in their past 6 meetings, which includes the last 4 games in the series played at West Branch. Louisville now leads the all-time series 52-24 with a 21-9 record in games at WBHS.
UP NEXT: The Leopards will next travel to Massillon to take on the Tigers on Tuesday, December 15. JV will begin at 6:00 PM and Varsity will follow around 7:30 PM.
