Boys Basketball Stamps Salem 66-33, Clinches Winning Season

The Louisville Leopards Boys Basketball team doubled up the host Salem Quakers 66-33 Tuesday Evening at John A. Cabas Gymnasium. With the victory, Louisville is now 12-2 overall and a perfect 9-0 in conference play.
Eleven different Leopards scored in the contest led by Blake Hoover who tallied a game-high 18 points. In addition, Hoover recorded a game-high 8 rebounds and a game-high 3 steals. Jake Pukys also finished with 10 and Joe Crank & Jake Adams each added 6.
Louisville dominated the heart of the game as they outscored Salem 48-20 in the second and third quarters combined. With a 58-24 lead at the end of three, the Leopards cruised to victory after that.
The Quakers were led by Alec Economous who ended the game with a team-high 11 points and a team-high 6 rebounds. Jake Bezon also scored 5 points and Trey Toothman recorded 3 assists.
With the win, Louisville clinches their second straight winning season and matches their win total from a season ago. The Leopards have now defeated the Quakers in each of their past four meetings and now hold a 5-3 against Salem since they entered the NBC in 2011-12.
UP NEXT: The Leopards will next host the Canton South Wildcats on Friday, January 30. JV will begin at 6:00 PM and Varsity will follow at approximately 7:30 PM.
