Boys Basketball Routs Ravenna in Season Opener
Louisville 73, Ravenna 37
The Louisville Leopards opened up the regular season with a convincing 73-37 rout of the visiting Ravenna Ravens at LHS Saturday Evening.
Chris Libertore hit two buzzer-beating three-pointers and scored a game-high 18 points to lead Louisville. Blake Hoover also scored 15 and Drew Noble added 8 for the Leopards. Noble also brought down a game-high 10 boards and Joe Crank had 5 assists.
Louisville outscored Ravenna 23-4 in the third quarter to turn an already dominate performance into a 60-22 rout. The Leopards cruised after that as the second team played even with the Ravens in the final eight minutes.
Ravenna was led by Warren Bradley and Khai Dokes who scored 10 points each.
Louisville also made 8 three-pointers as a team led by Libertore with 3 and Jake Pukys with 2. The Leopards have now defeated the Ravens in each of the past four seasons.
UP NEXT: The Leopards will next host the West Branch Warriors on Friday, December 12. JV will begin at 6:00 PM and Varsity will follow at 7:30 PM.
