Boys Basketball Gouges Green 59-43

The Louisville Leopards Varsity Basketball defeated the visiting Green Bulldogs 59-43 Saturday Night at Louisville High School. With the victory, Louisville is now 7-2 on the season.
Drew Noble finished with a Double Double in recording game-highs of 14 points, 10 rebounds, and 2 blocks to lead the Leopards. Jake Pukys also scored 11 points and had a game-high 7 assists, Jake Adams and Chris Libertore each tallied 9 points, and Brody Hahn & Rahzul Young finished with 3 assists each.
Louisville held a 12-8 edge after one before opening up a double digit 25-12 lead at the break. The Leopards continued to build their advantage and pulled out to their largest lead of the game at 46-19 in the opening minute of the fourth. Louisville’s bench began to file into the game after that.
Green scored 24 points in the final quarter after scoring just 19 points through the first three periods. Noah Glass scored a team-high 10 points and had 3 assists to lead the Bulldogs. Noah Pritchard also dropped in 8 and Nick Mazza added 7 for Green.
This is the Leopards first win over the Bulldogs since a 68-50 AAA Canton Sectional Tournament win back on February 25, 1984. The all-time series is now knotted at 2-2.
UP NEXT: The Leopards will next travel to Canton South to take on the Wildcats on Friday, January 8. JV will begin at 6:00 PM and Varsity will follow around 7:30 PM.
