Boys Basketball Doubles Up Carrollton 66-33

The Louisville Leopards Boys Basketball team doubled up the visiting Carrollton Warriors 66-33 Friday Evening at LHS. With the victory, Louisville now holds an overall record of 8-2 and is 5-0 in the NBC.
The Two Towers, Blake Hoover and Drew Noble, each scored a game-high 15 points and pulled down a game-high 6 rebounds to lead the Leopards. In addition, Jake Pukys made 3 of 5 three-pointers to finish with 9. Noble and Pukys also recorded 3 assists and 2 steals a piece.
Louisville built a double digit advantage after the opening quarter and never looked back. They shot 60% from the field (24 of 40) and buried 10 of 18 three-pointers (56%). Six different Leopards hit home triples in the game including Jake Adams and Chris Libertore who made 2 each.
Another key ingredient to Louisville’s recipe for victory came on the boards. The Leopards out-rebounded the Warriors 27-6 for the contest which included a 19-2 advantage when Louisville was on defense.
Carrollton was led by Daniel Leary who dropped in a team-high 10 points and had 4 assists. Zade Dietz also scored 9 points, Luke Leslie added 8 points, and Caleb Pasiuk had 4 steals.
With the victory, the Leopards have now taken 2 out of the last 3 from the Warriors. This is Louisville’s first home win over Carrollton since a 68-64 victory back on February 13, 2009. LHS now leads the known all-time series 43-28.
UP NEXT: The Leopards will next travel to Alliance to take on the Aviators on Tuesday, January 13. JV will begin at 6:00 PM and Varsity will follow at approximately 7:30 PM.
