Boys Basketball Bounces Back, Clobbers Carrollton

The Louisville Leopards Boys Basketball team routed the visiting Carrollton Warriors 80-35 Tuesday Beatty's Sports Blue Winter Hat 2015Night at Louisville High School. With the victory, Louisville improves to 8-3 overall and 4-2 in league play.

Drew Noble scored 10 of his game-high 21 points in the opening quarter and finished with 7 rebounds, 3 steals, and 2 blocks to lead the Leopards. Chris Libertore also hit 3 of Louisville’s 7 three-pointers to finish with 17, Jake Adams tallied 9, and Jake Pukys dished out a game-high 6 assists.

The Leopards scored the first 10 points of the contest and took a 26-13 advantage after the first quarter.
Louisville remained in command throughout and capped off their win by outscoring Carrollton 22-3 in the fourth quarter.

The Leopards won the battle on the boards 35-18 and forced 20 Warriors turnovers. They finished with Order Leopard Nation Highlight Video13 steals as a team led by Brody Hahn’s game-high 3. Louisville shot 52% (31 of 60) from the floor, while holding Carrollton to a 29% (14 of 48) performance from the field.

The Warriors were led by Kyle Bullard, Jacob Grubbs, and Luke Leslie who scored a team-high 6 points each. With the loss, Carrollton drops to 4-8 overall and 1-6 in the NBC.

With the victory, the Leopards have now taken 4 of their last 5 against the Warriors. Louisville now leads the known all-time series 45-29.

UP NEXT: The Leopards will next travel to Salem to take on the Quakers on Friday, January 15. JV will begin at 6:00 PM and Varsity will follow around 7:30 PM.

The Leopards JV Team took apart the visiting Warriors 73-25 Tuesday Evening at LHS. With the victory, Louisville improves to 7-4 overall and 5-1 against NBC competition.

Brandon Wahl hit 4 of the Leopards 7 three-pointers to finish with a game-high 18 points. Noah Chaplik, Order Leopard Nation Highlight VideoJared Mathie, Derek Zeller, and Bryce Zuppe all added 8 each as well for Louisville.

The Leopards shot out of the gate taking a 10-2 lead and never looked back. They outscored the Warriors 23-4 in the second quarter and 20-6 in the third quarter. Louisville’s suffocating defense forced 32 Carrollton turnover on the night.

The Warriors were led by Ryan Shepard who scored a team-high 8 points. Chase Flanagan also scored 6 and Connor King added 5.
