Baseball Shuts Down Aviators, Slips into Tie for 1st

The Louisville Leopards Varsity Baseball team blanked the visiting Alliance Aviators 6-0 at LHS Tuesday. With the victory, Louisville pulls to an even 5-5 overall and slips into a tie with West Branch atop the NBC Standings at 4-1.

Alex Hewitt threw a complete game 1-hit shutout and struck out 2 to lead the Leopards. With the win, Hewitt improves his record to 2-0 on the year.

Offensively, Louisville was led by Jake Adams who finished the evening a perfect 4-for-4 at the plate with an RBI double and 2 RBI singles. Tyler Adams also continued to tear the cover off the ball finishing 3-for-4 with a triple & an RBI single. Joe Crank also drove in a run via a sacrifice fly.

The Leopards have now defeated the Aviators five consecutive times and extend their overall winning streak to four games.

UP NEXT: The Leopards will next travel to Akron Ellet to take on the Orangemen in a Double Header beginning at 1:00 PM. JV will next travel to Alliance on Thursday, April 16 at 4:30 PM and Freshman’s next game is also Thursday at Perry beginning at 5:00 PM.
