Baseball Mauls McKinley 14-2 in Final Scrimmage
Louisville 14, Canton McKinley 2
The Louisville Leopards Varsity Baseball team demolished the visiting Canton McKinley Bulldogs 14-2 in 
the final rehearsal before the season opener. With the victory, Louisville finishes the preseason with a record of 2-1-1.
Stephen Kerzan led the Leopards at the plate by batting 3-for-3 with with a double, an RBI, and 4 runs scored. Casey Nau also finished 2-for-2 at the dish with a double and 4 runs batted in.
Ten different Louisville players recorded hits in the contests as the Leopards finished 14 of 32 (.438) at the plate for the day. Tyler Adams also hit a triple & scored 2 runs, Corey White recorded an RBI double in the 3rd, and Reis Rankin also scored twice.
Jake Adams gave up 2 runs on 3 hits and fanned one batter in a three inning start on the mound. Isaac Mathie, Trevor Burk, Nathan Mongiardo, and Nau all pitched one scoreless inning in relief. Mathie and Mongiardo struck out 2 hitters a piece.

The Leopards JV Baseball team was doubled up by the visiting Canton McKinley Bulldogs 6-3 in their final scrimmage Wednesday Afternoon at LHS. With the loss, Louisville finishes the preseason 1-3.
On the mound, Starter Drew Doerschuk struck out 5 in three innings of work. Zack Yadrnak also pitched 2 scoreless innings in relief & fanned 3 and Brandon Wahl sent down 3 in two innings of work.
Caleb Prasco had an RBI single to lead the Leopards on offense. Dillon Deckerd and Drew Doerschuk also drove in runs for Louisville.
