Leopards Squash Orangemen 4-1 – Baseball
Louisville 4, Akron Ellet 1
The Louisville Leopards downed the visiting Akron Ellet Orangemen 4-1 Saturday at the Field of Dreams. With the victory, Louisville improves to 8-4 
on the season.
Starter Cameron Prasco pitched the first 5 innings, gave up 0 earned runs on 4 hits and struck out 5 to highlight the Leopards efforts. Prasco evens his record at 1-1 on the season with the decision. Jack Davis also pitched the sixth & struck out 2 and Nate Mongiardo worked a scoreless seventh to pick up his third save of the season.
Louisville managed only 3 hits against Akron Ellet’s Matt Cody and Andy Mcclelland. However, the Leopards drew 7 walks and made the most of 2 Orangemen errors.

Louisville took the early lead with a pair of runs in the opening inning. Tyler Adams reached base via an error to open the bottom of the first. He then stole second 
base and advanced to third on Casey Nau’s infield single. A double steal put Nau at second and Adams stole home as a result. In the next at-bat, Nau stole third and then came home on Brody Hahn’s sacrifice fly.
The Leopards tacked on to their lead in the fourth inning despite two quick outs. Anthony Carpico walked, Brendan Hoffman reached on an infield single, and Mongiardo walked to load the bases. Cam King then drew a walk on just 5 pitches to plate Carpico making it 3-0.
Pinch Runner Bryce Zuppe scored the other Louisville run in the sixth. King had the Leopards only hit to the outfield in the game to advance Zuppe to second. Zuppe then took third and home on wild pitches.
The Orangemen pushed across a run in the top of the sixth when Ryan Jarvis hit a sacrifice fly to score Cameron Brake. Garrett Haverstick also batted 3-for-3 with 3 doubles to lead Ellet at the plate.
GAME 2: Was suspended with the Leopards lead 3-0 at the end of the 1st. Makeup date TBA.
UP NEXT: The Leopards will next host the Green Bulldogs on Monday, April 17 at 5:00 PM. JV and Freshman will be at Green at the same time.
