Louisville Beats Showcase Host East Robertson 11-4 to Wrap Up Tennessee Trip – Baseball

The Louisville Leopards Varsity Baseball Team jumped out to an early lead and never looked back during an 11-4 win over the host East Robertson Indians Friday afternoon in their final game of the Spring Break Showcase. With the victory, Louisville finishes 1-2 on their road trip to Tennessee and evens their overall record to 2-2 on the season.

Louisville Varsity Leopards won big over East Robertson Varsity Indians 11-4 on Friday at East Robertson High School.
Louisville Varsity Leopards were the first to get on the board in the first when Grayson Brunoni singled, scoring one run.
Louisville Varsity Leopards added to their early lead in the top of the second inning when Zander Triplett singled, scoring one run, Brock Leghart scored after tagging up, and John Baker doubled, scoring two runs.
Louisville Varsity Leopards added to their early lead in the top of the third inning after Leghart doubled to center field, Louisville Varsity Leopards scored on a wild pitch, and Louisville Varsity Leopards scored on a wild pitch, each scoring one run.
Brunoni pitched four and two-thirds innings in relief for Louisville Varsity Leopards. The reliever allowed one hit and zero runs while, striking out three and walking one. Caden Kortis began the game for Louisville Varsity Leopards. The hurler surrendered four hits and four runs over two and one-third innings, striking out four and walking one. Aidan Shoumake stepped on the bump first for East Robertson Varsity Indians. The hurler surrendered seven hits and eight runs (seven earned) over three innings, striking out three and walking four.
Louisville Varsity Leopards piled up 12 hits in the game. Jake Beard, Leghart, Baker, and Brunoni each collected two hits for Louisville Varsity Leopards. Baker and Brunoni were a one-two punch in the lineup, as each drove in two runs for Louisville Varsity Leopards.
Knox Rogers drove the middle of the lineup, leading East Robertson Varsity Indians with two runs batted in. The 3-hole hitter went 1-for-4 on the day. Caleb Pearson went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead East Robertson Varsity Indians in hits.
Louisville Varsity Leopards welcome Austintown-Fitch on Monday for their next game.
