The Louisville Leopards Varsity Baseball Team saw a 3-0 lead vanish in the bottom of the sixth inning as the Metamora Redbirds rallied for a 4-3 walk-off victory at the Spring Break Showcase at East Robertson High School in Tennessee. With the defeat, Louisville drops to 1-2 on the season.

A walk-off left Louisville Varsity Leopards on the wrong end of a 4-3 defeat to Metamora Varsity Redbirds on Thursday at East Robertson High School. The game was tied at three in the bottom of the sixth when an error scored one run.
Zander Triplett homered in the fifth and third innings. Overall the right fielder went 2-4 while driving in three and scoring two runs.
Louisville Varsity Leopards were the first to get on the board in the third when Triplett hit a solo home run to right field.

Metamora Varsity Redbirds made the score 4-3 in the bottom of the sixth after Cody Zahler induced Dylan Nee to hit into a fielder’s choice, but one run scored, Cooper Weyant singled, scoring two runs, and an error scored one run.
Trevor Burick led things off on the mound for Louisville Varsity Leopards. The pitcher allowed four hits and zero runs over four and one-third innings, striking out six and walking one. Mason Sauder stepped on the hill first for Metamora Varsity Redbirds. The hurler surrendered three hits and one run over four innings, striking out seven and walking one.
Weyant, Brant Adams, Sauder, Stephen Petri, Saul Swanson, and Young each collected one hit for Metamora Varsity Redbirds. Weyant and Nee were tough to handle back-to-back in the lineup, as each drove in one run for Metamora Varsity Redbirds.
Next up for Louisville Varsity Leopards is a game at East Robertson on Friday.

Freshman Karter Elmerick threw a five-inning no-hitter for the Leopards. He only surrendered two walks and struck out eight.
