The Louisville Leopards Boys Varsity Lacrosse Team earned a hard-fought 10-8 win over the visiting Wheeling Park Patriots Friday night at Louisville Leopards Stadium. With the victory, Louisville improves to 3-2 on the season while Wheeling Park falls to 0-3.

Daum and Warner Record Hat Tricks for Leopards
Parker Daum and Mason Warner each recorded a hat trick with 3 goals to lead the Leopards. Warner registered 2 assists and Daum also added an assist.
Dillyn Decost also added a pair of third quarter goals. Keegan Coy recorded a game-high 3 assists and also tallied a goal.
Leopards Respond After Early Deficit
Wheeling Park struck first, jumping out to a 2-0 lead behind a pair of goals from Luke Simonetti. Louisville answered quickly as Daum ignited the offense with back-to-back unassisted goals to even the score.
Warner then gave the Leopards their first lead of the night, finishing a feed from Coy with just over a minute remaining in the opening quarter to make it 3-2.
Back-and-Forth Second Quarter
The Patriots regained momentum in the second quarter, scoring three straight goals to take a 5-3 advantage. Cooper Abraham, Quentin Bettibazzi, and Simonetti all scored in a span of 4:24 to put Wheeling Park back in front.
Louisville responded late in the half as Daum found the net off an assist from Warner. Then Warner added another goal via Coy with 56 seconds remaining to tie the game at 5-5 heading into halftime.
Third Quarter Surge Powers Louisville
The Leopards seized control in the third quarter with a decisive four-goal run. Coy opened the scoring in the period off a pass from Daum before Dillyn Decost added a pair of goals—one assisted by Warner and the other by Coy with with 15 seconds left in the period.
Louisville also benefited from an own goal during the stretch, extending the lead to 9-5 entering the fourth quarter. Karter Pawley provided the pressure that led to Wheeling Park putting it into their own net.
Warner Adds Fourth Quarter Goal to Seal Win
Wheeling Park made a late push in the fourth quarter, cutting the deficit to 9-7 on a pair of goals from Kaden Lyons. Warner answered with a clutch goal off an assist from Daum with 3:40 remaining to restore a three-goal cushion at 10-7.
Simonetti added his fourth goal of the night in the final minutes, but the Leopards held strong defensively down the stretch to secure the 10-8 victory.
UP NEXT: The Louisville Boys Lacrosse Team will next host the McDowell (PA) Trojans on Tuesday, March 31. JV will begin at 5:30 PM with Varsity following at 7:30 PM from Louisville Leopards Stadium.
