The Louisville Leopards Girls Varsity Lacrosse Team fell to the Notre Dame College School Fighting Irish (Welland, Ontario) 14-4 Thursday night at Louisville Leopards Stadium. With the loss, Louisville drops to 2-9 on the season.

Babcock Scores Twice to Lead Lady Leopards
Izzy Babcock scored a pair of goals ot lead the Lady Leopards. Babock got Louisville on the board by converting a pass from Cheyanne Franklin to cut the Notre Dame lead in half with 4:59 remaining in the opening quarter. Babcock also scored the opening goal of the second half.
Franklin recorded her second assist of the night when Gianna Pentito scored Louisville’s third goal late in the third quarter. Emmy Harter scored the final goal of the game out of a free position, late in the fourth, finalizing the score at 14-4.
Grenier Scores 8 Goals to Lead Fighting Irish
Aurora Grenier scored the first four Fighting Irish goals in the first quarter and finished with 8 goals on the night to lead Notre Dame. She would score in every period, adding a goal in the second and fourth, and scoring twice in the third.
Ava Stachur also scored a goal in each half for the Fighting Irish. Other goal scorers for Notre Dame included Ava Briggs in the second quarter, Arianna Hetherington and Julia Tremeer in the third quarter, and Dylann Levitt in the fourth quarter.
This is first known meeting between Louisville and an international opponent in any sport. Notre Dame College School is the 36th unique opponent that Lady Leopards Girls Lacrosse has faced all-time.
UP NEXT: The Louisville Girls Lacrosse Team will next host the Westlake Demons on Saturday, May 3. Varsity will begin at Noon and JV will follow around 1:30 PM.
