The Louisville Leopards Boys Varsity Basketball Team fell to the Westerville North Warriors 51-38 Saturday Night at the Capital City Coaches for a Cure Classic at Capital University. With their first loss, Louisville drops to 4-1 on the season.
Siegfried Named Team MVP with LHS Best 13
Beau Siegfried scored all of his team high 13 points in the first half to lead the Leopards. He hit home 2 three-pointers as LHS finished with 5 makes from beyond the arc as a team.
Ashton Marshall also scored 9 points and Brayden Gross added 6 points. Other scores for Louisville included Tate Aljancic with 5, Avery Andrejcik who finished with 3, and Kolton Loy who tacked on 2.
Young Leads Westerville North with Game High 23
Micah Young scored 13 of his game high 23 points in the first half to lead Westerville North. The Warriors led 13-12 at the end of the first and increased their lead to 30-25 by halftime. The Leopards cut the deficit to 41-38 by the end of the third quarter. Young would score all 10 of Westerville North’s points in the fourth quarter as the Warriors would outscored Louisville 10-0 in the final stanza. Young was named team MVP after the contest.
Tai Perkins also finished in double figures with 10 and Tyson Perkins tallied 7. Other scorers for Westerville North included: Elijah McCree 4, Jacob Medhane 3, Tony Cornett 2, Nolan Fedak 2
This was the first ever meeting between the Leopards and Warriors in boys basketball.
UP NEXT:The Leopards will next compete in four games as part of the Torrey Pines Holiday Classic in California beginning on Thursday, December 26 with their final game on Monday, December 30.
