Louisville Defeats Hoban to Improve to 15-3 – Girls Tennis

The Louisville Leopards Girls Tennis Team defeated the visiting Archbishop Hoban Knights 4-1 Tuesday at Louisville High School. With the win, Louisville is now 15-3 on the season.
The Lady Leopards won all three singles matches in straight sets. Rachel Kibler won #1 singles 6-4, 6-1. Isabelle Menegay took #2 singles by a 6-3, 6-2 count. Sherilynn Mullett was also dominate 6-1, 6-1 in #3 singles.
The #1 doubles team of Amanda Plaskett and Jade Thomas was also victorious for Louisville. They won a hard fought first set in a tie breaker 12-10 to win their match 7-6, 6-4.
The Knights only win came in #2 doubles as the duo of Vober and McCarthy defeated the Leopards squad of Carleen Foutes and Bailey Menegay 6-3, 7-5.
This was just the second meeting between the two programs in their history. Louisville also defeated Archbishop Hoban 5-0 back on August 26, 1986.
