Leopards Freshman Notch 1st Win at Hoover in Over a Decade – Freshman Football
Louisville 20, North Canton Hoover 17
The Louisville Leopards Freshman Football Team never trailed in earning a 20-17 road victory against the host North Canton Hoover Vikings Thursday Evening at Memorial Stadium. With the victory, Louisville remains unbeaten on the young season with a mark of 1-0-1.
Runningback Andrew Essik scored a pair of rushing touchdowns to lead the Leopards. Quarterback Charlie Roberts also found Wide Receiver Chase Mueller for a 65 yard touchdown pass. Roberts ran in a two-point conversion for Louisville as well.
This is the Leopards Freshman’s first win over the Vikings since the current Senior Class defeated North Canton 42-8 as Freshman back in 2016. The win is the first by a Louisville Freshman Football Team at Hoover this decade and also marks the first career victory new LHS Freshman Head Coach Cory Guidone.
