Leopards Avenge Only 2018 Loss at New Philadelphia – Girls Golf
Louisville 167, New Philadelphia 193
The Louisville Leopards Girls Golf Team avenged their only loss from a season ago with a 167-193 win over the host New Philadelphia Quakers at Union Country Club Thursday. With the victory, Louisville improves to 5-1 on the season.
Erin Strouse shot a 39 to finish as the match medalist for the Lady Leopards. Others scoring for Louisville included Katie Bice 40, Alexis Ralston 43, and Madison Gruber 45. Abby Davis also shot a 46 and Maddy Fowler a 49 to round out a solid all-around performance for the Leopards Varsity squad.
The Lady Quakers were led by Kayla Dyer and Sydney Devore who both carded a team best 46
. Leah Corbett also tallied a 50 and Allie Jurkovic a 51 for New Philadelphia.
The all-time series between the Leopards and Quakers is now tied 2-2 with all four meetings coming in the past three seasons. The two squads are scheduled to meet again for Louisville’s Senior Night on September 17 at Pleasant View Golf Club.
