Lady Leopards Defuse Bombers 12-5 – Girls Lacrosse
Louisville 12, Kenston 5
The Louisville Leopards Girls Varsity Lacrosse Team defeated the visiting Kenston Bombers 12-5 Saturday Afternoon at Louisville Leopards Stadium. With the victory, the Lady Leopards remain unbeaten at 5-0 on the season.
Katie Hollifield scored a game-high 7 goals and recorded 2 ground balls to lead Louisville. Mandy Wesely also shot home 4 goals, finished with 5 ground balls, and won 10 of 16 draws. Kloe Mercorelli rounded out the Leopards scoring by netting the other goal.
Marissa Vick recored a 4 of Louisville’s 6 assists for the game. Maddie Kirby and Mercorelli had the others.
On defense, Lia Meckel made 5 saves in goal and Haley Black finished with a team-leading 6 ground balls. Lana Ulrich also picked up 4 ground balls and Tori Sharlow tallied a pair.
This was the first ever meeting between the two programs.
