Louisville Suffers 1st Defeat Against West Branch – Baseball

The Louisville Leopards Varsity Baseball Team fell to the visiting West Branch Warriors 5-2 Tue
sday Evening in their league opener. With the loss, Louisville drops to 2-1 overall and 0-1 in the NBC.
Corey White finished 2-for-4 with a double, an RBI, and run scored to lead the Leopards. Tyler Adams also batted 3-for-4 at the plate and Brendan Hoffman had the other Louisville RBI.
The Leopards out-hit the Warriors 6-4 as all 5 West Branch runs were unearned. Louisville Starter Carson Davis pitched 6 innings, gave up 4 hits, and struck out 3. Bryce Zuppe also pitched a scoreless seventh for the Leopards.

West Branch (2-0, 1-0) was led by Starting Pitcher Brant Alazaus who threw 6 innings, gave up 0 earned runs on 5 hits, and struck out 7. Alazaus, Seth Schroeder, and Jon Snyder all drove in runs for the Warriors. Josh Stahler also went 2-for-3 at the plate for WBHS.
