Leopards Dice Dukes – Boys Freshman Basketball
Louisville 59, Marlington 21
The Louisville Leopards Boys Freshman Basketball team earned a convincing win over the host Marlington Dukes 59-21 Thursday Evening. With the victory, Louisville improves to 4-1 overall and 3-0 in NBC play.
Collin Chambers went off to lead the Leopards with a game-high 34 points. Chambers scorched the nets for 10 three-pointers during the game, which included a perfect 7-for-7 second quarter from beyond the arch.
While Chambers alone outscored the Dukes by double digits, Louisville also got other big contributions. Jordan Hossler hit double figures by scoring 10 and Carter Rode also dropped in 7 for the Leopards.
Louisville actually trailed 8-7 after the first quarter. But they never looked back after outscoring Marlington 25-2 in the second quarter to take a 32-10 halftime lead. The Leopards also won the second half 27-11.
