Boys Basketball Falls on Road After Late Bulldog Run
Green 74, Louisville 68
The Leopards Boys Varsity Basketball team fell to the host Green Bulldogs 74-68 in a thriller Tuesday Night at Green High School. With the loss, Louisville drops to 0-2 on the young season.
Chris Libertore scored a team-high 29 points and Brandon Wahl also dropped home 22 points to lead the Leopards. The pair combined for 9 of Louisville’s 10 three-pointers with Wahl throwing down 6 triples. Jared Mathie tallied the other three-ball and added 6.

The Leopards grabbed an early 13-11 lead after one quarter of play, but the Bulldogs answered to take the lead by half 28-25. The two teams played even in an offense-filled third quarter as each team scored 23 points a piece.
Louisville began the fourth quarter on a 7-0 run to take a 55-51 lead with 6:56 left. The Leopards built their lead to 65-58 with 3:30 left to play before Green stormed back on a 16-3 run to end the game.
The Bulldogs comeback was led by Bobby Staudt who scored 14 of his game-high 31 points in the final period. Staudt also hit 5 three-pointers in the game and converted all 8 of his free throw attempts. Kaleb Martin also dropped in 27 for Green. He hit home 3 of his 4 three-pointers as part of an 11 point second quarter to lead the Bulldogs first half efforts.
UP NEXT: The Leopards will next travel to Salem to take on the Quakers on Friday, December 9. JV starts at 6:00 PM and Varsity Follows around 7:30 PM.
