Louisville Leopards Boys Soccer Alumni Game 2014
Louisville 4, Alumni 2
The 2014 Louisville Leopards team scored four goals in the second half to down the Alumni squad 4-2 Saturday at Louisville Leopards Stadium.
Zach McKelvey started off the scoring by netting a goal for the Alumni Team late in the first half. The
Leopards answered back with a pair of goals of their own to take a 2-1 lead midway through the second half. Trevor Burk scored the first goal via an assist from Micah Storlie. Kyle Shepherd then added the go-ahead goal via a pass from Logan Riley.
Corey Wilson scored to answer back for the Alumni Team, but Louisville would add two more goals before the game ended. Fittingly, what proved to be the game-winning goal came off the foot of Junior Micah Neuenschwander for the current Leopards Squad. Neuenschwander could arguably play as a member of either squad as he moved away in the offseason making him technically a Louisville Alum.
By the end of the game Alumni players were playing on both sides of the field. As a result, alum Brandon Henkel scored an insurance goal for what was originally the current team. Storlie setup the assist on this final goal as well giving the Leopards a 4-2 victory.
