Louisville opened up a 20-0 advantage at the end of the first half before cruising past host Ravenna 27-6 on September 10, 1993.
The key play of the game came with 0:04 left in the second quarter. Bob Burick lined up for a 25 yard field goal, but instead of kicking it he rolled out and received a pitch from his holder. Burick then fired a pass to Matt Baker for an 8 yard touchdown as time expired in the half. Burick then successfully kicked the extra point to put Louisville up 20-0 at the break.
Burick would finished with 4 catches for 78 yards and Chris Menegay rushed for a team-leading 77 yards. However, neither crossed the goal line. Louisville finished with 223 total yards rushing and three different Leopards runners scored in the game. Tony Long on an 18 yard run, Ryan Crislip on a 4 yard run, and Dan Wilson also on a 4 yard run.
