NBC Schools Agree to Leave NBC, Disband from Louisville

NBC All-Sports Trophy - Northeastern Buckeye Conference

All seven conference members, other than Louisville, agreed to disband from the Northeastern Buckeye Beatty's Grey JacketConference Thursday Night. The league is set to split in two years, but the change could happen sooner if schedules permit.

Alliance, Canton South, Carrollton, Marlington, Minerva, Salem, and West Branch will look to form the same league with a new school replacing Louisville.

Leopards Athletics has no official comment at this time concerning this decision or the next steps. Rumors have been circulating for months that have ranged from Louisville becoming an Independent to forming a brand new league with the following teams: Dover, Lake, Massillon, New Philadelphia, West Holmes, and Wooster.

As of right now, the Leopards remain a member of the NBC. Thus, the possibility is still open to remain in the Northeastern Buckeye Conference just bringing in entirely new members such as the schools previously listed above.
