The Louisville Leopards Boys Volleyball Team earned an impressive road victory Wednesday night, defeating the Howland Tigers in four sets 25-19, 18-25, 25-23, 25-18 at Howland High School. With the win, the Leopards have now won three straight and improve to 10-5 on the season.


Balanced Attack Powers Leopards Past Tigers

My Fit Life Personal Trainer Side AdLouisville showcased a complete team effort in the win, led by a dominant performance from freshman Ayden Mihelic, who finished with 10 kills, 6 blocks, and 4 aces. Senior outside hitter Brock Cole added 17 kills, 11 digs, and 9 service points, while junior setter Cale Lindner orchestrated the offense with an impressive 30 assists.

West Main Vet Clinic AdSenior libero Kyle Deem contributed 9 service points, helping the Leopards maintain momentum throughout the match.

Louisville controlled the opening set 25-19 before Howland answered in the second with a 25-18 win. The Leopards responded with a tightly contested 25-23 third-set win, then closed out the match with a 25-18 victory in the fourth.


Louisville Snaps Howland’s 11-Match Win Streak

Howland also received strong performances across the board despite the loss. Evan Neely directed the Tigers’ offense with 31 assists while also adding 9 digs and 2 aces. Carter Jones finished with a team-high 13 kills and 11 digs, while Wesley Fee added 12 kills and 12 digs to give Howland two double-double performances. Freddie Rivera contributed 11 digs and 2 aces, Philip Rullo recorded 8 kills and 8 digs, and Nick Caesar added 2 blocks at the net.

The Tigers had won 11 straight matches and were 7-0 at home coming into the contest. Howland is now 15-4 on the season.


Leopards Win Third Straight Against Tigers

Gionino's Pizzeria Oakwood - Mobile AdLouisville has now defeated Howland in three consecutive meetings, which included a season sweep for this season. The Leopards are now 5-3 against the Tigers all-time, which includes a 1-3 mark in games played at Howland.
