Linstead, Holbrook Score 10+ in 7th Grade Win

The Louisville Leopards 7th grad boys basketball team played the West Branch Warriors in the first game of the season.  The Leopards won the game 32-23

The Leopards struck first in the first quarter when Greg Holbrook bounced in a layup, which began a 5-0 run.  Louisville led 9-4 after the first period.

The Leopards were still in command at the half with the score favoring them 14-9.  In the third quarter, West Branch roared back taking a 19-16 lead, but Louisville responded with a 5-0 run.  But, West Branch tied the game at 22-22 heading into the fourth.

The Leopards rocked the Warriors at the start of the final period with a 7-0 run.  Louisville then cruised to a 32-23 victory, while only holding West Branch to a single free throw in the fourth.

The Leopards were 11 of 53 (20.7%) from the field as a team.  At the free throw line they were 11 for 26 (42.3%).  They also had 26 steals as a team.  Justin Linstead led the Leopards with a double-double scoring 10 points and grabbing 10 rebounds.  Greg Holbrook led all-scorers with 11 points.
