The boys basketball team won their first five games to help them jump out to a 7-2 record.  The Leopards only two losses were to undefeated teams in the Hoover Vikings and the Alliance Aviators.

The Leopards first game was against the Hudson Explorers.  The Leps squeaked out a 53-51 victory after hitting 8 three-pointers.  Johnnie Minster led the team with 16 points.  The Leps proceeded to win against the Northwest Indians, even though they fell behind 18-6 in the first quarter.  They rallied for a 53-49 win over the Indians.  Dan Boudler led the team by cashing in 17 points.

Louisville then won exciting overtime games against the Lake Blue Streaks 54-49, and the Canton South Wildcats 65-57.  Boudler combined for 46 points and 26 rebounds in the two games.  He then led the Leopards with 16 points and 13 rebounds to a 55-48 victory over the Central Catholic Crusaders.

The Leopards lost their first game of the season to the Alliance Aviators 61-46.  However, the Leps bounced back against the West Branch Warriors with a dominating 63-46 performance.  Boudler scored 22 points and grabbed 10 rebounds, while Ben Schmucker knocked down three 3-pointers to get the win.

The Leopards then fell 68-56 to the heavily favored and undefeated Hoover Vikings.  Boudler still had a monster night with 22 points and 16 rebounds.  Schmucker and Boudler each scored 15 points against Carrollton in their next game.  The Leps were victorious by a count of 50-35.

The Leps should continue to dominate, but their final three games will be tough as they will travel to play games against Minerva, Marlington, and GlenOak.  The Leopards will look to become NBC Champions!
