Leopards Snap Streak Vs. Vikings in 6-1 Road Loss
North Canton 6, Louisville 1
Pavin Parks went 2 for 3 with 2 Doubles and recorded the Leopards only RBI during Louisville’s 6-1 loss to host North Canton Hoover Monday. With the loss, the Leopards are now 3-7 on the season.
The Vikings scored in each of the first three innings to build a 5-0 lead and then added another run in the fifth to go up 6-0.
The Leopards only run came in the top of the seventh when Parks doubled home Stephen Kerzan. Kerzan had reached base on a dropped ball in right field and consequently advanced to second.
Louisville pounded out 6 hits as a team, while North Canton had 9 hits. The win is Hoover’s first over Louisville since April 14, 2008 when the Vikings beat the Leopards 12-1. Louisville had won the previous three meetings in-between and also led 10-8 in the top of the 7th of the 2011 meeting before the game was suspended due to darkness.
The Leopards will look to get back on track with a pair of NBC games against the Alliance Aviators on Tuesday and Thursday.
