Leopard Nation Penalty Video Makes News on Fox 8
Fox 8 News reporter Dave Nethers did a story on Friday night’s Louisville Leopards game after Louisville was penalized for pointing to the sky in the endzone. After Alex Schooley caught a 29-yard go-ahead touchdown to give the Leopards a 26-24 touchdown with 1:15 remaining, Schooley and fellow wide receiver Gavin Lovejoy raised their hands in the air and pointed to the sky. The referee threw a flag for excessive celebration, Louisville kicked off from the 25 and Walsh brought back a long return eventually leading to a 29-yard game-winning field goal to give Walsh the win. The two players were raising their hands to the heavens to salute Dominic Wilgus who died in a car accident on August 22. Leopard Nation’s video was broadcast from the game:
